CAHA Parent Booster Club
All parents/guardians of active enrolled players of CAHA Travel Hockey are members of the CAHA Booster Club Organization.
Our purpose is to support the promotion and development of youth hockey at Center Ice and provide a safe and fun environment for youth hockey with the players' benefit and interest in mind.
The CAHA Booster club is responsible for fundraising and sponsorship activities, support of activities to enhance promotion of youth hockey at Center Ice Sports Complex, providing CAHA youth with a fun, competitive hockey team experience, and support of the CAHA Foundation and Hockey Director with all hockey activities at Center Ice.
The Booster Club is managed by an elected Board which meets the 2nd WEDNESDAY of every month during hockey season from August until March. Meetings are held at Center Ice and begin at 7:00pm. All Board meetings will start with an open forum and are open to parents and coaches of CAHA hockey. The second half of Board meetings are closed.
Current 2024/2025 Board Members:
- President: Joel Martin
- Secretary: Kelsey Hibbs
- Treasure: Greg Boyd
- Fundraising: Shannon Rihn
- Communication: Mindy Culbertson
- Hockey Director (non-voting): Mike Furlong
In addition to the elected positions, there are representatives of each team (one per team, usually team manager) who sit on the board to represent the interests of each travel team. Elections for Board Positions are held in the Spring/Summer. Each family will have two votes for the elected board positions.
The Booster Club organizes fundraisers for CAHA throughout the year. The main annual fundraiser is a reverse raffle dinner held in the March of each year. The funds raised through these efforts supports the hockey organization by covering CSHL league/ref fees, reimbursing Head Coach & one Assistant Coach certifications for each team, purchases of equipment for team use, purchase of coach's jackets, and other costs in support of CAHA youth hockey as decided by the board. The registration costs for travel hockey, paid to Center Ice arena, only pays for ice time for practices and games. All other costs are covered by fundraising efforts or must be passed on to the families.
We encourage all families to take active participation in the CAHA booster board and the annual fundraiser activities. Support of the parents is needed to ensure the continued success of the CAHA youth hockey organization and to provide the best possible experience for the players and coaches of CAHA.
If you are interested in helping out either as part of the board or as a parent volunteer, contact any of the current board members for more information. We are looking forward to a great 2024-2025 hockey season!
